The Bidjar rug style is known as the most durable rug in the world. They are ideal for high-traffic areas such as main entrances, kitchens, and corridors. They are so durable because of the 'wet-loom' technique that is used. During the long weaving process, the weaver keeps the wool, warp, and weft constantly wet. They beat down the rows of weft with a comb at frequent intervals. Therefore the materials tighten and shrink slightly when it is dried, making it extremely strong and dense. All have a pile of wool and foundations of cotton. The natural dyes give bright, lively colors that bring life to even the simplest home.
